We treat clients and colleagues like family, lead the market with forward-thinking tools and ideas, and bring genuine passion to every property journey. These values shape how we hire, how we work, and how we deliver results — driving us toward our mission to be the number one property solution across Gloucestershire and beyond.
At CGT, we believe that great service starts with great values — and ours aren’t just words on a wall. They shape how we treat people, how we make decisions, and how we show up every single day.
While “Trust the Experts” will always be part of our DNA, in 2022 we set out to refresh and refocus on what truly matters to the people who power CGT — our team, our clients, and our community.
Led by Managing Director Nick Devonport, and backed by a team of dedicated property professionals, we brought together a cross-section of staff from across departments and levels for an open and energetic discussion about who we are and what we stand for.
The result? Three powerful words that reflect the spirit of CGT — and the experience we promise our clients.
CGT began as a family business — and we’ve never lost that spirit.
It runs through everything we do. From colleagues who care deeply about one another, to long-standing relationships with clients, landlords, and tenants — we treat everyone like part of the family.
We listen. We support. We go further — because that’s what family does.
We're not here to follow — we're here to lead.
Innovation at CGT means using the best tools, the smartest systems, and the most forward-thinking processes to improve the way property is bought, sold, let, and managed.
From introducing Secured Sale™ to streamlining customer journeys with tech and transparency, we’re always looking for new ways to raise the bar.
We genuinely love what we do — and it shows.
We’re passionate about property, about people, and about the places we serve. Whether helping someone find their first home, grow their investment portfolio, or navigate complex legislation, we bring energy, care, and deep expertise to every conversation.
We invest in our people. We champion professionalism. And we believe in staying local, supporting local, and growing strong communities.
We aim to be the number one property solution for everyone in Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas.
That means delivering more than just transactions — it means creating experiences that are smooth, supported, and built on trust.
Our values aren’t a marketing exercise — they guide every decision we make:
They're embedded into monthly one-to-ones
They shape how we recruit, train, and promote
They inform how we work with clients, colleagues, and communities
We hold ourselves to high standards — and we invite you to do the same.
At CGT Sales & Lettings, community is at the heart of everything we do — and we’re proud to play our part in something truly special: the Lions Trail, a spectacular charity initiative lighting up Gloucestershire with creativity, compassion, and community spirit.
The Lions Trail is more than just a visual celebration. It’s a powerful fundraising campaign that brings together local businesses, artists, schools, and residents to raise vital funds for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice — supporting people across the county facing life-limiting illnesses.
The trail features a pride of beautifully decorated lion sculptures, placed throughout towns and key landmarks across Gloucestershire. Each lion is uniquely designed by talented local artists and sponsored by businesses who care about giving back — like CGT.
We’re proud to sponsor our very own CGT Lion, standing tall and proud as part of this remarkable public art trail. Our lion reflects strength, unity, and the values we hold close as a business — family, innovation, and passion.
Supporting the Lions Trail means more than publicity or branding.
It means standing beside the people and places that make Gloucestershire special. It means contributing to something that brings joy to families, raises awareness for hospice care, and inspires people of all ages.
Every step of the trail, every photo shared, every donation made — it all helps fund expert end-of-life care and vital support for families across our community.
We’re encouraging all our clients, partners, and friends to get involved:
